Mobile Spy is compatible with two operating systems: Windows Mobile and Symbian OS. Symbian is usually for customers outside the USA. Also view compatible phone carriers.

Windows Mobile Phones

Mobile Spy is compatible with most smartphones running the Windows Mobile operating system. This includes many models available in most countries. A partial list of compatible phones is shown below. Even if you don't see your phone on this page, any Windows Mobile based smartphone (not Pocket PC) with GPRS connectivity will work.

This includes Windows Mobile 2003, 2003 SE, 5.0 and some 6.0 phones. We are currently working on Windows Mobile 6.0 compatibility for all phones. You should have an Internet enabled carrier so the software can upload logs. Almost all major carriers worldwide are Internet-enabled.

Additional Requirements The Windows Mobile version of Mobile Spy is designed on the .NET platform. You will need to install the Microsoft Compact .NET Framework files to your phone. This is an easy free download and we provide instructions. Depending on how much memory is free on your phone you may need to install to your phone's memory card. But usually it will fit on your phone itself.

Symbian OS Phones

On February 10, 2008 we released the first version for smartphones running Symbian OS. This program is compatible with two phones only: Nokia N70 and Nokia N72. It will NOT work on any other Symbian phone yet. This version has every feature of the Windows Mobile version, but does not capture web site URL's visited. We are currently working on adding Symbian v9.x phone compatibility. We hope to have the next Symbian version available by late March or early April 2008.

You should have an Internet enabled carrier so the software can upload logs. Almost all major carriers worldwide are Internet-enabled.

Additional Requirements There are no special requirements for the Symbian version. But you must have an Internet-enabled carrier so the software can silently upload logs.

If you do not own a compatible phone, then consider purchasing one on eBay or elsewhere. They can be as little as $200.00 which is a small price to pay to learn the truth. Some visitors have asked us to recommend a phone for best compatibility. While almost any Windows Mobile smartphone will work, we use a group of test devices.

For our main test devices we use the HTC S620 which is also rebranded as the T-Mobile Dash. We also use the i-mate SP5m which is the T-Mobile SDA. Another great device that we test with is the Motorola Moto-Q. But remember, almost any Windows Mobile smartphone will work. The installation process is very easy using detailed instructions we provide.
